Mysterious metal monolith found in Utah desert
A 2020 space oddity? A mysterious slab of metal stands silently in the Utah desert, leaving Earth’s primates puzzled.
State wildlife officials say they were counting bighorn sheep from a helicopter last Wednesday when they stumbled upon a mysterious 10 to 12-foot tall piece of metal sticking up out of the Red Rocks.
Video published by the state's Department of Public Safety shows crew members investigating the monolith, with voices heard saying, “Who does this kind of stuff?” and describing it jokingly as an “alien life form.”
The crew say they believe it was likely placed there by an artist, but said it is actually illegal to install structures without authorization.

In 1987 in my senior year in high school. I took a Religion class. Teacher was religious and believed that the monolith represented the presence of God in the film 2001.
ok, 1:19, I can see dots, which look like rivets or screws,...and I don't think aliens would have used such "primitive technology".There are more detailed pictures online, where you can even see the line/gap where the separate plates were put together,...(I'm just saying). The second monolith that recently appeared in Romania, is so obviously man made (welded and angle ground), that I don't even feel the need to argue about it...
